I decided to use a pointing system with points from **1 (worst) to 10 (fantastic)** for judging: - Traffic - Social aspects - Environment - Happiness General ------- I am living in the centre of Oruro, but my working place is a bit outside. Moreover, I have to say that in the morning, the traffic in Oruro is horrible - there are motorcades in almost every part of the city. ![An overview of all 4 routes][1] Route 1 ------- **Bicycle - my favorite mode of transportation** - Traffic —> 8 points (even if there is a motorcade, you can always drive; but you still have to stop in front of traffic lights etc.; this sometimes leads to a lot of wasting minutes) - Social aspects —> 5 points (although we are riding together, you can’t communicate very well) - Environment —> 10 points (no air pollution) - Happiness —> 9 points (afterwards, you feel fresh and awake; but there are so many car drivers, where you really have to be afraid of; therefore I have to remove one point) ![Route 1][2] Route 2 ------- **Running - the favorite mode of transportation from my room- and workmate** - Traffic —> 10 points (you can start directly from the department until your office; you can always run anywhere and almost never have to stop) - Social aspects —> 1 point (because you are running alone) - Environment —> 10 points (no air pollution) - Happiness —> 10 points (again: afterwards you feel fresh and awake and you have already done something great for your health) ![Route 2][3] Route 3 ------- **Taxi - frequently during the raining season** - Traffic —> 5 points (as I said: there is always a lot of traffic; but there are some drivers, who know streets to pass some of these motorcades) - Social aspects —> 10 points (taxi drivers in Bolivia are great; they always like to communicate, tell stories and wish you a nice day) - Environment —> 1 point (twenty year old cars are DEFINITELY not good for our environment) - Happiness —> 6 points (yes, conversations are great; but I don’t like whether the environmental aspect nor the fact that I haven’t done something good for my health; furthermore you don’t feel very awake) ![Route 3][4] Route 4 ------- **Micro (=small bus) - very seldom, because it’s very complicated** - Traffic —> 3 points (there are such an amount of buses which all have to go their routes; they can’t drive where they want, even though this means they have to set in a series of ten buses) - Social aspects —> 8 points (sometimes, it’s very funny with other citizens; but as everything, it depends on the day) - Environment —> 3 points (old buses pollute the air; but the form of public transportation is better than taking a taxi) - Happiness —> 4 points (same reasons as I’ve already mentioned in route 4, adding the disadvantage that this route takes a lot of time and is much more complicated than the first three ones) ![Route 4][5] [1]: http://s16.postimg.org/bcfkhvnmt/routes.png [2]: http://s7.postimg.org/p46s75f8r/route_1.png [3]: http://s10.postimg.org/3vfd81okp/route_2.png [4]: http://s10.postimg.org/ssrxgfru1/route_3_new.png [5]: http://s22.postimg.org/jurmw670h/route_4.png
